I have a gen VI 502 all forged that a friend put together last summer. Lesson learned
Engine was taken to machine shop have receipt block cleaned rods checked etc new cam bearings installed and heads (088) gone through. Cam is .510/.540 112 LSA all roller 8.75:1 compression 1.7 stamped rockers
Engine was assembled with new bearings new rings and ARP head bolts felpro gaskets I have receipts for everything.
Bad is last weekend it started smoking......pulled risers and port side has oil inside. From where I don't know what's damaged I don't know but the engine is out and a fresh one is going in I don't have time to mess with fixing something this season I do t want to miss time on the water like I did last year. Maybe it stuck a ring I don't know.
If it don't sell soon I'll drop it at the machine shop and see what's up and fix it
I have a 177 525sc blower on it that can either go with the engine or separate
It will be the long block only no manifolds no intake no dist no accessories. The purple valve covers will come off and stock black merc 502mag covers will go on.
I have a video of it running just last week before it started smoking. It's now out of the boat
I can ship
Long block $3750 OBO
525SC blower with 1050 dominator $1850 OBO
I'll do $5000 for it all
Feel free to ask any questions
Thanks
Scott

I will post pictures of how it will come tomorrow or first of next week after outlaw challenge
Will come with oil pan, timing cover, and probably starter. No flywheel or coupler/bell housing

Haven't messed with it really other than stripping it down.
Heads are fine looking like stuck rings on 5 and maybe 3 letting oil get on top of the piston. It turns over by hand easily. I'll probably pull the heads tomorrow after I do a compression test
If it don't sell really soon I'll just drop it at the machine shop freshen with new bearings and ri gas and maybe drop a bigger cam and sell it for a good bit more as a complete fresh long block with a clean bill of health
