I just visited the Doug Wright factory in Melbourne, FL
Out of respect to DW, I have no pics to post.
I highly highly recommend DW lovers to visit the factory...especially this week!
if you're ever wondering ( IF you ever wondered ) why DW32s cost the way they do, you have to visit the factory this week and ask DW if you can go behind the door marked " KEEP OUT "
the work that I saw there answered my questions on why/how DW wins and wins in the circuit.
you will also see the DW32 "pleasure" boat which is built with race standards!
you might just be surprised who the next owners of the 32 pleasure crafts will be.

Not sure if this is gonna be a new PR boat. I hope so, then the owner wouldn't mind us sitting in it

Hopefully, the new owner either chimes in or starts a new thread on his build.
what I heard was that the windshield on the current build will not be as swept-back as KAP requested on his.

Sr and Jr are building a new 32 pleasure for me with the new 400R's. It is going to be setup to seat 5 with a new windshield and we have a bunch of really cool things we are doing on this build.
When we get further along we will have more info and pics.

Once you get in one and go for a spin your hooked. Really no boat like it in my opinion very exclusive and you will want one.
I love my DW just not really happy with the windshield. Currently making some one of a kind parts for it including support brackets.
Really happy to see new builds in the pleasure boat arena rather than race boats being converted to pleasure versions. In my opinion the converted race boats are great boats. They do lack the pleasure boat amenities for a weekend out on the water. Having storage areas to put fenders and anchors, jackets and coolers is HUGE.
On the performance side no other outboard compares to a DW....rough water it eats it up....speed it's blazing....all around cannot be beat in any category. I think I have set the mark at LOTO 115 MPH with stock 300XS it squelched all the nay sayers.
Excited to see how the Verado 400R motors run on the boat it should be faster with 200HP more than I am running.
See you at LOTO.

I have a lot of events planned for next year. Trying to fit LOTO in right now...won't run the Shootout just come out to enjoy the boating and hang with friends. I will be bringing the boat though if I come out.
Can't wait to see the two new pleasure boats with 400R motors.
