How about plug wires? How old are they?

Hows your fuel pressure?

I'd look at the accelerator pump in the carb. That PRM is right about where my secondaries start coming in.

good point, old plug wires can have a problem carrying the current to the plugs, the extra resistance is hell on the coil.a faulty fuel pump can also cause the op,s problem.

if it has the origional coil replace it.could be a carb or fuel pump issue also.

I'd look at the carb,,sounds like its not delivering the fuel.,check filter behind gas line connection and take the top off carb and check for cleanliness. Then fuel pressure and after that coil and ground connections.about all I can think of.long shot, check antisyphon valve for crud clogging it up.
