Default Lost oil pressure AGAIN FN FREAKING OUT

Ok guys I am dumb founded.. Last June was rolling along at about 3800 RPM. 400 Scarab with twin 454 roller cams lifters punched out .60 over with 177 Weilands 950 holleys...

Lost Oil pressure in left motor unexplained... So had motor rebuilt Dyno tuned .
Before I put motor back in I bought new oil lines new oil cooler ..

Today first day back out on river, no less than 30 minutes of run time I everything ok!!! Feeling good. Started motor after sitting oil pressure went up then hit ZERO AGAIN... Pulling my hair out

Do the remote oil resevoir have check valves

Any ideas would help

Did it really lose pressure or is a gauge f/cking with you? I'd throw a mechanical gauge on and verify

you sure you put the oil lines back on correctly.

I helped a guy with a 460 rat rod. He had the remote lines plumbed wrong.

You will still have oil pressure if you reverse the oil lines. It will only bypass filter and cooler. It will lead to engine failure in a few hours of run time. Put a mechanical gauge on it and eliminate that first.

Double checked and was running great, didnt even run it hard just wanted to get through the rest of summer.

But I will double check the lines again..

Just a question, is there any check valves where the oil filter connects to or where remote connector ic at the bottom of the motor?

Thanks steve

depends on where he senses the oil pressure.just going by him touching the lines.he could dump out the filter and see if they didn't hurt it on the dyno.

Did you have the oil pickup tube welded when you had the engine rebuilt?

Pull the motor and replace the pump and pickup.....

Or you have a blockage.....
