Fla. Sales Tax and Luxury Tax

Is their a max. amt. they can charge u or do u pay 6.5% of the purchase price? Is the luxury tax still active?

Yes you do pay 6% in Broward, and 6.5% in Dade on the entire amount less trade. "However" there is no longer a luxury tax on boats, it was repealed in 1991.
