Default sanger bulkhead print throug

i sold my old sanger to a friend he want to make a new paint, problem is there is a minimum bulkhead print through that is visible when you look at the side of the hull so i advised him to put a light color on the hull so it is less visible, the sanger is a very professional build kevlar hull, what cost this print through ?
was it there from the beginning when they build the hull or does it appear when hulls get older?

What causes it? could be a number of things but most common is gel-coat too thin in that area or possibly too green (not cured enough) when the glass was applied.
Other things that can cause it would be the resin not being catalyzed properly...or maybe they didn't use a mat before laying down the structural glass....could be a bad section in the mold or they got a pre-release in the mold...sometimes its hard to pinpoint the actual cause...but its mainly cosmetic and most times you can sand and buff out the gel.....assuming there's enough "meat" there to do so.

Darker colors also make imperfections pop out more too....

Print thru isn't all bad. Most every Skater I have ever seen has print thru of the mats. You can sand and fill, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

That's a good looking boat. What model is it?

Maybe its just me, but I think I've seen more print through on hulls (and decks) that were vacuum bagged. Kind of makes sense in a way. And every Skater is vacuum bagged. Any thoughts?

I was just at the St Clair offshore Races and was surprised at the print thru and imperfections on some of the big cats. Even the ones with the very expensive paint jobs.
