A) Too much horsepower—twin Mercury Racing 1075s—for Extreme class.
B) Superboat Unlimited is not limited to hull type.

An odd fit, but there you go.

Oh ok, I never knew superboat extreme had a hp limit. Learn something new every day.

I believe superboat extreme is a spec class while there's no exact "Hp" limit, CI, compression, cylinder head and carburetor size is all limited. Similar to how supercat is. I honestly think if superboat extreme keeps the same set of rules for Afew years it would/could be an awesome class. Instigator and twisted metal really like to put on a good show every year. There are Afew 40 skater built fountains out there and OL we know can build a competitive V bottom also.

Also I think Lucas oil tried to run in extreme this year at the first race but maybe there is an issue since they are running BPMs where as the rest of the class is running 6s.

Super boat extreme is a spec class like superboat (supercat). lucas has 1200 hp supercharged engines and rudder steering and is over length. Unfortunately he really doesn't fit any class.
