Hey, I'm not a marketing guy but I do know that sometimes to create demand products get released in stages. It's worth noting that when Mercury Racing first introduced the 1650 it was "for racers only." And they've done OK with the sales of those.

I heard from a source of mine through someone at Mercury the motor will be available in the US to come. 40k is around what they are thinking and NO warranty.
I think that will change and in order to sell them they will need a warranty.
But here is the question. The motor looks awesome. But why pay 40k and get no warranty when you can get a 20" version for 27k with up 4yrs warranty?????? Math does not work for me.
