Default Recommended setback bracket for storing a boat in water?

Hi,

New member to the site and have a question. I'm wondering if anyone can comment about what setback bracket would be best to use if I wanted to keep my boat in the water. I have a single outboard 24 Superboat with a manually adjustable 6" setback jackplate, but I'm thinking there might be a cleaner way to set the engine back if I don't need fast adjustability, that will be easier to paint, clean and keep from fouling when kept in the water. I suppose that there might not be too much experience with this because most members here probably don't store their boats in the water, but wanted to put it out there anyway. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Regards,
Mike

Look into outboard brackets made by "Stainless Marine". They are vey nice and add flotation since they are sealed.

Thanks for the response. Hadn't thought about the factor of additional flotation, but that seems like it could be a nice benefit.
