AT owners- I am looking to step up to a used twin engine boat with nice cabin space for the family and am looking for some feedback on the 33 and 37. Where is the extra 4' is it cabin, cockpit or about even? I have climbed around a 33 with the side by side bolsters and like the layout and cabin space but am also considering a 37 for more space yet. Any big differences in ride/rough water ability? Trailering/launching? We will be trailering with a F350 SRW diesel and currently run Lake Michigan and IL river. If the boat has shore power is it easy to add AC/Heat? I have looked at several different boats in the 35 foot range but the AT's seem to have the largest functional cabins. I appreciate any feedback.
Thanks
Thanks

I would go with a 37. My reasons being the extra 4' for a better ride and extra space overall.
Not to mention there are very few 33's to be had and the 37's only sell for slightly more.
I've been in a 37 but not a 33 so don't know exactly where teh space difference are.
I'm sure Sydwayz or Pat can give specifics.

Beautiful boat.
If you'd like to check out a 37, you are welcome to come down by me. It's currently in "winter mode" with all the cushions out of it and the drives off for refresh, but otherwise sitting right in my heated shop.

The 33 is literally 9/10s of the 37, overall.
The cockpit on both boats is literally exactly the same.
The length difference is the the engine room/bilge (about 2' shorter), and in the cabin, (about 18" shorter).
Towing/launching/trailering differences will be negligible. Actually, the 37 might even be a hair easier, depending on the trailer. You need deep enough water to float the boat over the step. You may find that deeper water easier with the 37 vs. the 33, again pending trailer and ramp conditions.
Your truck will tow either just fine.
We've had the 33s and 37s in the exact same rough water conditions, and the only thing that the 37 does better is span waves with a slight advantage based on length. Otherwise, they ride exactly the same, by design.
Adding AC/Heat should not be a big deal at all. I've seen several boats that it has been added to. It will take a while, but all of the boats are designed for it.
The only thing that is pretty much impossible to fit in the 33, compared to a 37; is a generator. That's what goes in the extra 2 feet of engine bay.

the 33 has just as much room as the 37. cabin is almost the same. i have owned a 33 and been on a couple 37's and i can not tell the difference. you gain 2 foot in the engine area for the spot for gen, and i believe a foot In cabin. the 33 surprised the crap out of me in the ride department. been on 38 donzi, 38 cig, 38 beak ect ect and the 33 is just as good if not better than all of them. the 33 has the best cabin in its size of boat peroid, none other compare. i was going to add AC to mine just never got around too it. not hard at all and its easy to install lots of room for everything. i liked the 33 cause no one else has one(spread out around the country) and faster than the 37 with same power. my buddy has a nice 32 AT but the 2 boats are not even close to the same in any way. get on a 33 and get on his is like night and day, cabin is tiny cramped. like a 33 to a 28 foot boat. i loved mine and everywhere you go people huddle around it

Guessing from your locale that the 33 you crawled around in was this one? http://www.grandsportcenter.com/pop-...r-33-evolution
