I need to paint a couple of aluminum pieces. What is the best spray paint? thanks

GF spray painted her aluminum camper with Rustoleum gloss white and Valspar (Lowes) gloss pink.
The Valspar laid down REALLY nicely, much better than the Rustoleum. This experience will affect my next paint project, as I'll be trying Valspar.

I read a while back to use engine paint. I tried it out on a boat windshield frame and to my surprise it held up flawlessly. the old or original paint had flaked off in several areas and looked terrible.

^^^ agree use that to and it does say for other uses on the can - metal - wood - wicker -more
for use inside and outside
***** with painting its all about the prep and being super clean beforehand as well. ******

I have good results with the professional series of rustoleum(tall can thats says pro) I know lowes has stated carrying reg grade in a tall can and is pissing me off, rep at rustoleum told me there is a difference in the paint.

X2 on it's all in the prep. Use a good zinc chromate primer, use acetone to clean the aluminum, get rid of any oxidization, then what paint you use will be secondary.
