I have a used low hours upper gear set. 1.5 ratio(32/27). One of the brass rings has some chipping on a surface, other than that they are in great shape. At one time during my bravo blues I was buying spare gears and just repairing uppers with gears. I had MUCH better luck with these gears vs the xr gears. 550.00 plus shipping. As a fairly competent shade tree mechanic how difficult are these to drop in? The previous owner switched out the 1.5 for 1.65 and I wouldn't mind switching them back as I increase power rather than re-prop. Drop in, are is there some grey magic to it?

They are super easy to change. Just need to check gear contact after assembly. You can buy the few tools you need off eBay for a few hundo. I think the guy who makes them posts on here.

Yes they are the same gear.

Are these the same as the b1x gears? And are the stock gears always 1.5 ?
