PCM555 ECU memory error message
Does anyone know what "ECU memory error" means on a PCM-555. I sent them off to get reflashed and that is the code I am getting which puts it in guardian mode. Any help would be appreciated on this

PCM 555 OEM version calibration, ECM Memory Fault code should be #138 which means the memory is corrupted for a fault explanation in turn means the ECM / PCM is bad. Anytime I have seen that code, 100 % of the time, the ECM / PCM was bad.
With that said, I would send it back to whomever flashed it and see what happened along a possible fix or new PCM/ECM'(s).

I don't want to throw any names out here, but if you know the boating industry you know who it possibly could be. I just don't understand how putting a standard performance tune that many people have could make the ECU bad now

I hear you and understand. IMO I am totally against sending out PCM 555 and PCM 09 and e controls to get reflashed thru the mail no matter who is doing it and the end user just plugs and plays. Totally against that form of tuning.

well they are going back to get looked out. If you have a stock motor and a company develops performance calibrations for that particular stock motor, then it shouldn't be that big of an issue.
