Default Where to mount water pressure sensor on 496?

I would like to add a water pressure gauge on my 8.1 496. Where is a good location for the sensor? I would like to make it an electric gauge as I don't want a line running water through it going up to the helm. Usually I would only run a mechanical gauge.

Mine had a brass tee installed under the ECM water pressure sensor in the power steering cooler.

John the first gen 496 had the water pressure sensor mounted in the back side impeller housing area. Then the sensor location was changed to the power steering oil cooler - inwhich the cooler itself is located top backside of the engine.

Thanks for the responses. Yes I have a gen 1 with sensor on back side of impeller. I was wondering if there was a better location. Apparently mercury had a change which shows there was a better location. Unfortunately I'm not going to by a different p/s cooler so I guess I'll install a tee behind the impeller.

Thanks for the input!!!!
