Anyone running around 600hp in the 25 A/t if so what are you running for a drive and prop and what are you getting for speeds. I've heard a 2in shorty makes a world of difference on this boat. Just bought the boat and haven't had it in water yet. Bought it without power any feedback would be great. I put a 502 in the boat with a 2.3 whipple on top. I currently have a stock b1-(I know) with a 28p prop its a start figured id ask the people that have been there done all of this thanks guys. cant wait to run this beast!!!

What is the X-dimension of your boat?
If you're not sure, measure a theoretical straight line from the pivot pins of the outer transom assembly, (crankshaft centerline) down to a line even with the keel at the transom.

Gordo, it was my old boat. A few years back you and I discussed X-dimensions. We determined that the prop on my boat was 2 inches deeper than your boat. I believe your measurement was approximately 19 inches and mine was 17 inches making my prop deeper in the water. Following your advise I put a 2 inch shorty and it made a world of difference.
