Hey all,

I know I've seen a thread with some good tips about this before but I can't find it to save my life, so anyway:

I just moved from my Sunsation Dominator spinning out and that thing is like driving a Bobcat docking with the sticks. Very responsive. Now I have a 35 Donzi ZR and it's phenomenal, but I have noticed it doesn't like turning as well docking. It has been just fine so far but I could see in a tight situation it getting messy. So rather than learning from trial and error, I'd love to get the benefit of some experience here.

What tips do you guys have to help a boat with props spinning in, to better maneuver around the docks?

Don't have the drives buried. Bring them up around the docks.

Edit: This was on a staggered spinning in. Haven't really messed with non-staggered spinning in.

Swap the lowers so they spin out? haha.

I've thought about it! Love how she runs with the throttles pushed forward too much though!

Ive always found when backing that you use a bit more throttle, most times leave drives straight, but sometimes throttle and steering can get you out of a tight spot while backing. and try to only use one engine unless extra thrust is needed.

Don't approach the dock any faster speed than what you are willing to hit it at.
My 29 was impossible to dock without using the wheel. I learned to use one drive to pull the boat to the dock and the other to push it away when backing, which is the idea, but like I said, I always had to use wheel to get it in.
Like others mentioned, a little positive trim helped too.

What Jason said. My 28 spins in and I'll use the wheel sometimes. Example: If I need to pull the boat toward the dock, I turn the wheel toward the dock and reverse the drive closest to the dock. It typically side-slips pretty well.

This boat have Alphas?! Lol!

On my fountain keeping the drives and tabs in neutral trim position makes a big difference.
