Default Value of 525 log block

Looking at my options for replacing or rebuilding my 525. What would a long block be worth that needs a piston, bore or sleeve replacement and one head needs machine work? Thanks

Maybe 2K. There is nothing very special about a 525 once you strip off everything

How many hours on it? I'm guessing along with the said work to be done one would want to have block hot tanked and magnafluxed, crank and rods cked, new bearings, rings, hone job, valve job, deck surface cked, both heads cked, spring pressures within tolerance, gaskets and so on. So in a nutshell with adding up what you have that could be sold as in parts I'd think 2k 2,500 at the most.

I assumed he meant 525EFI, a 525sc would probably be worth half that blown up. Surely in an 04 model boat it would be EFI
