Default What height should K planes be above the running surface. Pro and con for dif heights

Installing the K plane on Scarab 33 AVS after new transom. They are at the same angle as the hull (angled) What height should K planes be above the running surface?

What are the Pro and con for different heights.

Mine are just shy of 1" above the running surface

3/4 min. Mark them out. Double check inside. Make sure nothing is in the way for thru bolting and hose locations. Bottom thickness also has to be watched
