Default 525 oil leak

Just bought the boat this fall and motor hull was drity with little oil cleaned but now I know we have a leak. Motor has 80hrs and I am getting oil leaking in rear of motor somewhere.. I assume it's not main seal cause its not sling everwhere.. Does any one have any experience with what might be leaking or where to start looking..

Probably an oil cooler line issue.

Possibly an intake manifold gasket leak where it meets the block on the rear of engine. Mine only leaked under load.

Make sure it's oil you are seeing. Sounds dumb but leaking water will look like oil too because it has a rusty brown color.

WHAT Is THE Issue With OIL COOLER lines. Is it a loose fitting issue or replace the hose issue

What year is the motor? The early 525's were known for rear main leaks FYI

You can buy an oil dye at any auto parts store that works amazingly well. Just pour it in the oil and using any cheap UV flashlight you can see exactly what's going on.

OK,,,, they were redesigned by then,,,, not saying that cant be the leak, just alot less likely. I would go to the remote oil filter lines and intake next
