Default Bell housing mounted starter

Couple questions...
1. Are any built for standard bravo installation? The only few I've seen are more for the center motor on a triple.

2. What are dimensions above and over from crankshaft centerline and how far back does the starter hang?

I've only seen on transmission boats with top mount starters but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Hopefully you get some answers your looking for.

Yeah it would just make it so much easier to get to, eliminate the bulk on the starboard side and I think could clean up even more rigging.

Also would never fail with it being so far above the water.

I've changed starters on boats where I just lifted the engine rather than fighting it.

There are rear starter bell housings listed in the Swap Shop.

on a bravo there is not enough room to the transom plate for a top mount starter. that is why you only see them on the center motor or on something with the engine forward and a drive shaft.
