Grant's Signature Racing continues to work on this project—and continues to find improvement, http://speedonthewater.com/boat-rest...-up-to-111-mph.

Was the picture of it running (near the top of the article) taken earlier? The photo later in the article appears to show the motors having been moved in towards the center of the tunnel... Wonder how that will affect longevity of the lowers?

DL,
Good eye, I imagine this move also allowed them to raise the engine height also...

Good eye. Yes, that running shot was taken in September 2015 by Pete Boden.

my guess is that when they first rigged the boat they used the outside mounting holes from the triple engine installation. which would have moved the motors wider than a normal twin engine install.
I am sure they moved them in closer more in line what the centers are for twins.
It would be nice to know what the centers are?
Someone get over there and measure the tie bar LOL.........

Motor with cowling is mounted on boat behind the sponson. Motor without is hanging and pushed over for whatever they need to do to remount it.

Are they 300x's or 300xs's?

Port engine is still in exact same position. Looks like they are going to try out triples....

I was going for brevity—not confusion—with the caption for the opening photo. Intent didn't match results. I've made it clearer. Sorry for any confusion I may have created.
