I have done two. One a Jaws 24 which rode on rails and picked up 4 mph, Second Carrera 8m that carved the water like a turkey dinner and ran 73 with twin 250 mercs with labbed 26 Bravos. So who has done it? How did you fill in low areas, did you sharpen the strakes. I know a few have done it, so I have read on OSO.

Picked up 2mph on a mid 80's twin bbc sleekcraft by squaring the transom to hull edge.
Made a diy reverse mold with some waxed plastic 1/2 angle and used some clearcote brand clear gel had laying around.
The older boats tend to have rounded edges at the radius on bottom to help pop em out of the molds i believe

Yourself, ingenuity, self reliance. Or at the very least your own personal input into what needed filling and shaped. Your views on redesign, as an example: the BT boat with its speed at LOA
