Default Better option for Fuel Filter/Water Seperator?

I’m looking for an alternative or better product for fuel filter and water separator.

The ones I have bought in the past are Racor brand. They have the clear globe at the bottom of the filter that screws on and has an O ring.
The problem is that the clear globe only goes on at maximum a quarter turn. If I ever go any farther it strips out. I have tried two different filters and got a new globe but still the same thing.

The vacuum from the fuel pump is enough to keep it sucked on there while underway but while trailering the boat to the lake, it is not uncommon to pop the hatch to find the clear globe and a bunch of gas rolling around in the bilge.

Is there something I am missing here? I mean, shouldn’t the globe go on just as tight into the filter as the filter does to the filter manifold? I can damn near look at the globe and it will fall off.

I am tired of messing with it and always worrying about it.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure what you have for mounting options and plumbing, but I'm running these.

Not sure if that helps, but you should be able to order through Napa.
Wix makes fantastic filter products. It's all I run for all of my vehicles' oil filter and fuel filters.

Check out the fuel/water separator that Summit Racing sells. Been using these for years.
