If any of you out there were wondering what happened to the World famous Miss Geico Turbine Engines that were never raced again after the devastating fire and total loss in Sarasota I'm here to say they are back and better than ever. Principle Propulsion Systems has purchased the entire inventory of engines, parts, and tooling and has already rebuilt the T53-L703 engines for the VORTEX team racing in Trinidad Tobago. PPS has also purchased engines and parts from the QATAR team as well. This week the next pair of engines will begin the teardown and rebuild process. I will keep this thread posted as often as I can with the rebuild process. Rigging a turbine boat is pleasingly simple and easy to understand. PPS has repaired the engines of a long list of turbine boats and has provided the support turbine boat owners want. I would like to hear any questions or comments you might have. I personally love turbine engines, but it doesn't seem like a viable source of power in a offshore boat. The 1650 turbo is a game changer. Why should somebody go with turbine engines when the 1650 seems to do the job over and over again?
