Default towing a '27 fever with Suburban W/ Max Tow

Is a 2015 Suburban with Max Tow suitable for a 27" Fever. It is rated to 8,000lbs, my concern is that it might be screaming its guts out on Mt passes. Or will it be suitable for occasional trips to Idaho from Seattle (1 to 2 a year).
I have found a nice one but am hesitant to pull the trigger if I need a bigger motor for traveling the West. Thanks in advance for your opinions

I have A 15 foot Bayliner. Souped up the motor.probably making right around 1200 Horseies.

Can I pull it with my 73 Pinto? I installed a 3/4 ton daully rear end out of my brother inlaws sisters husbands truck that fortanately for me he hit a tree with the truck coming home from da bar.

The rear end is a 4.11 full posi.

Not sure if it is apples to apples but I tow a 29 Velocity 29 with a 2013 Yukon XL with the tow package. No problem on the flats or the hills we have in Western and central NY. Originally hauled it from Florida to Western NY with a 2008 Suburban again with no problems. Your mountains are likely longer and sleeper.

The suburban would be fine. You don't have to race up or down mountains.

Add an extra transmission cooler, just to be safe. I tow a 26 foot Cobalt with a 2008 2500 Suburban without a problem.

If it has a HD tow package, I believe it has a transmission cooler plus lower gearing. At least the 2013 models do.

Correct. Towing package has 3.42 gears and large tranny cooler in front of radiator as well as an engine oil cooler. You can tell if you have the towing package if the vehicle has 4wd low. I also tow my 280 Velocity with a 2013 Tahoe. The hottest I seen my tranny temp go to was 190 bringing the boat back from Lake George in 95 degree weather. Truck does great for what it is rated for.

I towed a 27' Fever with a Toyota Sequoia 4x4 for several years. The 27' is not heavy at all - relatively speaking.
