Fuel Verado 350 sci vs 400R Sportmaster
Hi!
I have received my new 400R for my ol lady Phantom 25. I owned a 350 Sci with a HD 5,4 gearcase. Top speed with the 350 Sci was 81 mph +, and fuel consumption was 4,7 MPG at cruise 4,000 rpms.
I expect a top speed with the new engine to be 86 mph +, but I wonder how the 400 R with sportmaster will be compared to the 350 Sci with HD lower unit at 4,000 rpms cruise.
Will the longer sportmaster add more drag at cruise, or will the sharper profile give less..? I presume the 400R to use less than 350 Sci with a HD case.
The fuel in Norway cost a fortune; apporx 9 USD per Gallon.
