looking for input from anyone who has tried the comp cams xtrem marine xm284hr 112 lobe separation 110 center line, 230int / 290 ex duration @.50. looking in this area for lift .547 but want to stay away from big duration. pleasure/ performance boat. p.s. fairly long no wake zone to get to the big water if that matters.

It's 230/236 @ .050. Never used it but it's slightly smaller than the 741.

Sorry rob I haven't but what is the build consist of. Heads, CR, carb etc. As long as your going hyd roller I think there's better options for you but again I haven't personally used it in a build but I'm sure I've seen it here on a thread more than once. Do a quick search otherwise.

The 049 heads are a good head but you might actually consider the comp cam. What size valve did you go with. You could probably run the 741. Very common proven marine cam. Heads just going to hold you back some.

4.310" bore x 3.760" stroke.
TRW LF2300 pistons 16.8cc dome
781 heads with some mild porting.
2.06" intake 1.72" exhaust valves
9.0:1 - 9.3:1 Compression ratio depending on chamber size.. (not sure)
Weiand Team G Intake with a 9022 Holley 800 Carb.
Eddie Marine EMI Thunder exhaust witht he long risers...
Ran GOOD.. 68 mph
