Default Ok, so how fast will this old pig run? 24-7 pantera.

Ok fellas.
It's been over 5 years of blood sweat and tears (and buckets full of money) and this summer the old girl is going to finally float!

The boat:
77 pantera 24-7 (second boat so im sure its a heavy one)
Straightened bottom. No hook.
512 BBC with a bravo one done by Dick T. 1.65:1 ratio with a 26p bravo prop (stock for now until I have data for mods)
3.5" prop depth

Dyno sheet:

So, how fast is this boat going to run? I have an idea, but what does everyone think?

You should be in the low 80s for sure. But not with a 26p B1 safely. I would try to get your hands on a 27 Mirage Plus , Maybe even a 29. With the 1.65. Also at 3.5 down. You might want to try spacing it down to get the leverage to carry the bow. That 7' beam can get evil quick at speed. I found my best depth at 4 5/8 below using a 3/4 spacer. And Mirage plus props. The old school hull likes old school props.

i think you will need a prop with more pitch&diameter, maybe need to add a spacer but some testing will give you answers.btw, the boat is looking good.

You have a Delta pad on the bottom? Prop depth aside, pretty much agree with Class6 on a Mirage or similar prop. When I had my 24 Sport with a little less HP than you I was running into the low 90s with a 29 Mirage. My boat did not like Bravo props at all, and it did like bigger diameter props either as they tended to manhandle the boat from side to side. Maybe with your slightly higher prop depth a Bravo will work?

Yes, delta pad.
I'm gonna recheck the prop shaft depth. I may have posted bogus info. My "x" is 17 1/2".
BBlades recommended the 26p bravo as a starting point.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Keep them coming!

Heading out to the shop now.

Come on summe!
