Default Awesome offshore racing. Carib Great Race

Awesome seeing big boats go at it offshore. They don't run anywhere near their speed limit offshore. Is there an opportunity for a big V to rain on their parade? A 38 fountain with 525s finished close to a 46 skater and a 39 MTI!

Agreed! This coverage is extremely well done. I don't think a V is going to touch the 46 Skater in this race. This team has it dialed in. Here's another link with a transom view of Total Monster, listen to those PSI blower motors, damn!!!

the great race videos are very well done. It's too bad political issues got in the way last year so a 2016 video doesn't exist. Hope they can fix that this year. It was truly missed.

I stumbled on those videos around the holidays. It was awesome to watch on the big screen tv via the new blue ray I bought. I couldnt belevie how many american race boats I was able to pick out. All in all the race footage was awesome. Big waves + Long distance = Big smiles. I was even had the hair brain idea to plan a vacation to see them run.......

Yeah they had that boat flying flat. The mystic didn't have anything for them, couldn't keep the nose down and with the mystics low freeboard it looked like it is a bigger risk to stuff than the skater.

There is no opportunity for a v to run with the cats no matter how big or powerfull. The 38 fountain that finished close to the skater started a lot earlier and did not run as long of a course.

I was throttling the Big Thunder 40' skater and the turbine ran away from us in the smooth till it was out of sight but we knew the minute it got rough we would catch them and fly by.
