Are these Merc Gear Lubes the same?

Are these Merc Gear Lubes the same?
Who knows their crossovers of the Merc Gear Lubes from Quiksilver to Merc Race? I know in the past there was just a single letter designation difference between the two (Quicksilver and Merc Race). Is the Quicksilver Extreme Performance Gear Lube 85W90 (Part # M0111677) the same as Mercury Racing Gear Lube 85W-90 ( Part # 8M0078015) ? Going to use in XR drives so want the correct gear lube.

Unless they changed the name, the Quicksilver good stuff was labeled High Performance Gear Lube. And typically, my local Walmart carries it and has the best price around $11-$12. I also want to say the color is different between the regular QS gear lube and high performance.

Mercury High Performance Gear Lube is part number 92-858064K01 and is different than the ones you have shown here. It's a straight SAE 90 weight. That's what you should be using.
Edit: The SAE 90 product is what I used to use. I see now that Mercury has a Extreme Performance Racing lube that is 85w90; I assume that's what you're showing here. I now don't use either of those. I use Torco RTF.

Note to answer the last statement, the Premium gear Lube was made by Citgo, the High Performance Gear lube by Belray. I do not know on the newest 85-90 Extreme / Racing Gear Lube.

I just called Mercury Racing and talked to Arnie, very helpful guy by the way. He says that the above 2 oils (my pic in opening post) are the same exact oil, and as Griff stated, packaged for different sales venues. Both oils are brown in color and replace the blue oils of the past, these oils have been out for 2+ years according to Arnie.
