Was it a Mirage or Mirage Plus 23?

Is that a un-molested Prop or did some Lab it. I know my hull is different, with my 496 HO, i can spin a 27 Mirage Plus just under the Rev limiter. The Boat and myself both like the 25 better. Have you had the motor scanned to see if your at 100% available power?

The prop as far as I know is stock, I had the motor scanned and it's only got 117 hrs on it and I have no reason to think its not putting out max power, it came out of a formula 331 the guy was upgrading to 525's

The scan would have shown available power if you scrolled through. I would say put some time on it,you might have to re learn the boat again before you drive yourself nuts and buying props and parts.

The reason I suggested a 24 was that I had a Nordic 28 496HO for a few years, similar size and weight. I tried lab 26s, lab 24s, and found the best all around prop was a sharpened and balanced stock 24B. Wasted a lot of money only to arrive back at near stock. Bblades should be good though...good luck.
