496 HO oil temperature sending unit

the oil pressure sender for all marine 496's is located on the top backside of the engine but down a bit in a lowered flange ---- screwed into a 45 degree fitting and another fitting reducer screwed into the block flange. Hope that all makes sense.
Later 496's the fittings themselves changed. and location was almost in the same place.
Senders need to match the OHM's to the gauge for proper psi readings.

I seen that to so I just posted about the oil pressure sender as I thought he was talking about. Anyways if not someone else will want to know down the road about the oil pressure sender.

Not that my info comes from Raylar because I actually work on marine 496's across the board. Merc, Volvo, Indmar and so on since day one when they came about to market. . I tried to do a search on the this. " oil temp reading on a Merc 496" , basically this is what comes up. Link below to click on.
