Default Duel cooler bellhousing, paint or no

I am thinking about sealing my bellhousings where coolers are placed in. seams everyone I see they are corroded, can I paint the aluminum inside or not. does it peal or flake off. Even Hardin Marine bellhousing not painted where cooler goes, even the cover is not painted on the inside.
Your thoughts are welcome/

If it is prepped well, epoxy holds up pretty well in fresh water.

New ones mebbe the finish will hold up. Recoating the inside of the coolers? Hell no. Strip all remaining finish. It is gonna be full of oil. It ain't gonna rust...

The bell housing holds water. The oil cooler in the bell housing holds oil.

Yes, I'm talking about water cooling jacket. Not oil cooler. 😎
I wish I could do the entire motor inside so corrosion doesn't start ever.
pipe dream maybe.

No currently turn key with B38.
building new mills and using new used dual cooler race bellhousings.

closed cooling does not include heat exchanger or oil coolers.
