Default 32 SS headliner

What has everyone paid to have their headliners redone?

Guy I boat with that has a 32 dominator is paying $4500 Canadian dollars to have his redone. I have a intimidator I'm doing myself and have to say its a pain in the butt job. But I feel doing it myself may be the difference between having to do it again in 10 years.

I'm redoing mine by myself right now. Its no fun at all and very messy! Not putting a headliner back up, doing interior paint instead, that way it wont come down again.

I am thinking of not putting one up as well and just painting ceiling with a thick paint. I plan on owning the boat long enough that I don't wanna put another one up. They only seem to have a 10 to 15 year life span!
