Husqvarna?
Same target audience?
Mild paint update.
Back on the course.

I'd think if the Noble family is still in the Stihl business then a Husqvarna race sponsorship could hurt them in their primary business. Good thinking though!

I'm saddened to hear the news that STIHL is pulling out of Offshore Powerboat Racing. I remember Jake's father J.R. Noble as a man driven to race and win and who loved the sport and everything about it from the fans to those that he raced against. It was a blow to everyone when the news of J.R.'s passing was announced and then when his son Jake Noble and the family announced that STIHL was going to continue Racing and being a sponsor of the Sport J.R. loved was great news. I want to thank J.R. Noble, Jake Noble and the entire Noble family and Team mates along with STIHL for all the great memories that you gave us over the years and we will all miss you and wish you nothing but the best. I'm sure it was a difficult decision.

Sounds like the family used their company to sponsor their hobby. Maybe whoever runs the company along with the the accountants suggested a racing budget wasn't selling enough chain saws etc.

That was the most politically correct PR piece I've read in awhile.
