Wow, talk about the worst investment ever. I can't imagine the dollars they had into that beast.

Phenomenon wasn't an investment, it was the dream of a millionaire and Legendary Offshore Powerboat Racer "Al Copeland". What a beautiful looking boat, there is nothing like it, it is a one of a kind and it is to bad that some Millionaire doesn't buy it and finishes Al's dream with maybe different power, it would make one heck of Poker Run/Pleasure boat.

Give the hull away for free and you could still probably not sell it for what it would cost to re-rig it with piston power.

From the little that I heard about the project, the problems they were having mostly were with the drive components/configuration. I think if they were to reconfigure the boat from four turbines/drives to twin late model T55s (4,800shp) and large BPM/Arneson drives, the boat might accomplish what they set out to do with it.

I think it's a horrendous waste of money but some would say the same about my boating history.
It's all relevant to how much $$ you can afford to waste/enjoy!

I wonder if you could fill the tunnel/deck and make it twins and have it run properly. Amazingly cool creation to have just rot away.
