Default Merc 280 K-Planes

The dimensions of the 280 as per web diagram is;
Wide- 14"
Length- 19.25'
Tip- 9"

What I need to know is the length from the transom to the point where the inside angle starts, that goes to the tip. Another words, the length from the transom to the point of intersecting lines.
This way I can make a template and see if the planes will fit without interference.

Thank you very much for your time.
David..........

Griff, 6" of the transom, At that point the angle begins that goes to the Tip. Is that correct?

Thank you for your time......Happy New Year.

If I understand your question - would nt transom width play into your question as well - inwhich you need to be asking another exact same boat owner as yours . Maybe I am over looking your question from post 1 and totally miss what exactly you are asking.

Your 292 has twin engines correct ? and how are you mounting the tabs ? following the transom line or mounting them straight across horizontal ?

Yes, the plates start narrowing at an angle 6" from the transom.

I did ask with ZERO results. I did however have 44 members read my question. Possibly waiting for my results so they can change out theirs.............

Yes.............

I'm going to follow the boats bottom transom deadrise angle.

Griff, Thank you again... Ask twice, cut once.............
