I have a 1996 27’ Advantage Victory, 454 MPI with 425 hours on the motor. I currently run around 50 MPH at 5000 RPM.
This is my first IO that I’ve owned. It currently has a 24 pitch prop. Question is. Is the RPM to high for a stock motor, I know my prop is a little worn so I’m thinking of replacing it with a 26 pitch, is that to much prop and would a cleaver style be any better? Any other prop suggestions?
My other boat was a 21 Schiada with a 525 and a turbo 400 with a C500 vdrive, untill kids came along.

Your slip % or propeller inefficiency would be over 30%. This is possible but poor.
If it is accurate, something is wrong.
Verify rpm and gps speed. We assume your gear ratio is 1.5:1.
