Default Removing 450 pounds from transom.

Doing a engine swap in our boat from super charged intercooled engines over to NA engines. I know we have lost some were around 450 pounds or so. Just wondering how much more transom lift the boat is going to have being 450 lighter. The boat is a 32 ft Skater

If the HP and torque are going to be roughly the same it should make the boat ride a lot flatter and faster. You may even be able to drop a blade off the props thus being more efficient.

We took my big-power PSI motors out last summer and went to Merc 700s. With the rigging swap, and losing the oil tanks and unnecessary crap, we dropped over 650 lbs. Took my CG from the bilge wall to the center of the cockpit. It's amazing. Only adjustment besides prop size was the water pickups needed to drop a notch.

It's a widened 32' Skater as well. And she runs and flies perfectly level now.

One less blade will help lessen transom lift.

I tried a stock 26 Maximus 5 blade and it turned my 26 into a three point hydro. Rode on the nose and prop. Top speed was 95 instead of 107 at 6100 rpm with a stock Bravo 28.
When I let off the gas the boat just about stood on it;s nose. Everything flew forward including everything that was inside the cooler. I about hit the steering wheel. It was like slamming on the breaks at highway speed.
With a four blade I don't get any of this. Top speed so far is 112 at 6100 with a labbed 28 Bravo from BBlades.
Need to order a 26 OR add more HP ( thinking about what to do )
Considering going to 14.5 to 1 and E85
