Default ignition coil

Hi all, I'm thinking about changing my stock mercury marine coil, not sure of the volts to an 45,000 volt aftermarket performance one 0.6 ohm low resistance by pertronix on a late 90,s 454 bravo engine , could this hurt ? guess i'm looking for better fuel burn /performance any thoughts thanks.

Is the engine still at the factory delivered 8.8:1 compression ratio? Did you add a super charger?

You will gain nothing and lose reliability. Tried going to an MSD coil on my 525SC. No change in anything and it didn't last 2 years before it died.
