Balance Trailer Tires?

Balance Trailer Tires?
I have new aluminum wheels and will be having the Firestone Transforce LT235/85R16 HT tires installed. What is everyone's opinion on balancing trailer tires? If balance should I go with Equal or just weights on the outside or glued to the inside? Thanks!

I balanced mine when I replaced them. I did inside only so I would not have weights on the outside.

I balance my trailer tires - have had absolutely no vibrations, shuttering or tire issues. For the few $$ it costs to balance why not - you do it for your vehicle just for the smooth ride +,+,+. Worst case scenario - when your tires start to act up with their ride quality after balancing - you know there is a big issue at hand.
To some I overdo the precautionary servicing....Then again, I am the one they call for help when their gear is down

I always balance trailer tires, they are notorious for not being the best and usually take a fair amount of weight. Starting a few years ago my local Discount Tire started requiring it to maintain warranty coverage. Out of balance tires run hotter and heat is what kills trailer tires.
We started put out on a 1000 mile road trip this summer and about 50 miles in I noticed more vibration than normal. Watching the trailer in the mirror I noticed the sponsons on my Talon were blurry. The vibration from the tires was transferring through the trailer and it wasn’t something I wanted the boat to be subject to for the next 950 miles. I stopped, had them re balanced and it has been smooth sailing since.
Don’t pay attention to the curmudgeons on the Internet, balance the tires.

I just got four new tires and rims for mine from trailertiresandwheels.com via e-bay.
Four 14" class Cs and rims for less than $500 delivered.
Old tires were near new and perfect but on ugly rims.
Was cheaper than 4 bare rims and install.
Sold the old ones for $300 and ended up w/$200 in the new ones.
