Default Flaps or windscreen

I'm up in the air if I should go with flaps or a windscreen on my 38 Scarab. I have a set of flaps off a top gun, that I am leaning toward installing, but I've read that guys that went from flaps to a windscreen, like the wind screen better. Personally, I like the idea of the flaps but I have no experience with either.

The first time the flaps self deployed on my old TG, it scared the chit out of me.......lol......I prefer the looks and functionality of the screen.

I think the flaps look cooler, but the windscreen in more functional.

My Mistress had the flip up deflectors, then I had a Lipship Kit for my 1993 Top Gun windscreen, it was night and day. Made a Huge difference. much better function. I got the same kit for my Playboy, just better Wind Protection, and looks great. I am 6’5” tall too.

mike we did a lot of experimenting on our 28 challengers. Will talk to you about it this weekend if you make it up. Not sure if my old pic would show it or not. Extremely effective.

I dig the flaps but I guess I am just old school. I remember seeing my first cigs with the flaps and thought they were so cool. I did laugh at the comment about getting startled when the would flip up. I do remember that exactly happening to me. The wind screen has grown on me. I agree it works much better. It does help make a straight bottom look newer. The only thing I didn’t like was trying to go over it to reach the deck.....
