Default K-plane pump question

I was using the boat over the weekend and one k-plane pump stopped working. I would press the button in either direction and the pump would not turn on. My setup has a "both" button also, when I pressed that, only one pump worked. I went to look two days later and it worked with no issues. Should I worry about it? Could it be the solenoids on the pump? Could they have an issue when it gets hot in the engine compartment? Ground?

No corrosion at all on the wiring. I'm thinking it could be the motor since it didin't work in the up or down direction. I think it would be hard for both solenoids to be bad?

1. Do your pump solenoids have a solid 12V on their input side?
2. Check your ground for the motor/solenoids. Where do they terminate? Jump motor/solenoid ground to battery negative to rule out bad ground terminations.
3. If the 12v is going to the pump motor and ground is good - then it's bad motor.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to bring my tester and some jumper wire the next time I go out. I usually carry the jumper wire.
