ooking for some insight.
Have a merc/keikahfer Hydro pump for my center tab. System is a Dana Marine, 28" single sponson tab.
Problem is for the last couple years I have had issues with fluid leakage. First I thought it was lines, changed them along with all fittings and pass thru tubes.
I can NEVER get it to leak any time I USE it, it will only leak after it sits, like over night.
I trailer 99% of the time, over the course of a night the tab will drift down as it leaks into the bilge.
2 issues I am puzzled about is that the leak happens either stored up, or down!
So I am late getting it out of storage, waiting on a couple trailer parts.
Wed night I filled the resinous, NOT to full but just enough to be 3/4 full.
I have not put power to the unit at all in almost 1 1/2 years!
I did not want to prime it yet just to see what it would do.
This afternoon, the res is damn near empty!!!
It is 'siphoning' out on its own somehow and I am totally baffled.
Any thoughts?????
I do have an older pump from the previous Factory Bennett tab setup, but it has the older res and getting the current one off the transom will be a b%tch.
