Default Old school BBC not starting

I have a 1994 Scarab 31 with twin 454/365 carb mags. Boat ran great last year. This year starboard engine fired right up ran fine. Port engine wont start.
It cranks over easily
Put a few squirts of gas down the carb, same
I swapped the module from the other engine, same
I checked every fuse I could find, all good.
My wife cranked the engine and I had no 12v across the pos/neg terminals on the coil.
Anyone? Thanks

Is there a low oil pressure cut-off switch?

Start in middle column.
At first, Use another ground (then the - coil term) when you are checking for 12 volts at the coil +.

I'd put a jumper wire on the 12v terminal of the coil and connect to a 12v source, then try and start.work backwards from there if it fires.

With the key on I had 12v from the pos term on the coil to a bare spot on the block

ignition sensor under the distributor cap then under the rotor,

Buy OEM - they are a bit higher cost like 24 dollars more.

I have 20 in stock if whomever needs any. The OEM is made here in Florida at Merc plant 7. the rest after market ones are made in China.

Story -- those china ones can have issues after the engine heat soaks. How do I know just replaced 2 last week but the boat owners saved 24 dollars buying them online --- China made one. . The potting material is not that good in alot of the China made ones, this is one of the issues from the start. FYI

And for best results there is a special install to do for the current ones.
