Default 500EFI alarm

I'm having an issue and was hoping someone here could help steer me in the right direction. Started the boat the other day and as I was pulling away from the dock heard 2 long beeps. Oil pressure, temp and water temps all read fine. Got on plane and ran fine all day. Came back into the docks later and had the same thing happen - again all gauges read normal. Yesterday had the same thing happen but now when I shift from neutral to forward or reverse the motor seems to stall for a quick second and I get the two beeps again. Seems to idle fine in neutral. Whatever it is it seems to be getting worse. I've read the two beeps mean either high water temp, high oil temp or low oil pressure but all those numbers are fine. Any ideas?

I believe it also beeps for low drive oil in the reservoir bottle behind the engine. I had one that looked full but it was old black sludge that accomplished nothing! Take it off, clean well and re-fill.

SCX Drives so there is nothing hooked up to the drive alarm wires.

Thanks. That just show low drive oil for 2 beeps but that alarm isn't hooked up using the SCX drive bottles . . . .

500 EFI correct ????

500 efi uses a MEFI 3 controller and the 525 EFI uses PCM 555 controller not even close for faults or any of it nor beeps. Totally different controllers.

Mefi 3 has under 20 fault codes and PCM 555 has way over 200 fault codes

Thanks BUP. Planning to scan it asap to see what pops up. Would a bad oil pressure switch cause it to stall?

most efi set up's if oil psi falls below a certain # the fuel pump will be shut off. this is only bypassed during cranking.
