casting number is 10243880
needs to be original to swap original pistons and the rest to replace a cracked block...

anyone have that? Cant even order a new one from merc

will have to look at the casting numbers of my block to be sure.

pretty positive that is the 1996-2000 Chevy Truck 5.7L Vortec block.

Most stroker cranks require a little clearancing on the block, but your machinist will.should know this.

Speaking of which, this block is super common....your engine guy may even have one. If not, sure as schit he can/will get one for you.

880 block and standard vortec heads. Look up the part numbers. Same as 5.7.

just as said above...that number is coming up as a 5.7

they are a dime a dozen from all the trucks that used them from 95-99
