Warning, this post contains foul language.
So today I attended the Chicago Air and Water show. I launched out of the worth, IL boat launch. This Where I have launched for 3 years now. I'm the only one in the family that can back a trailer up and also get the boat back on the trailer, along with pulling the boat out and not rolling the truck back. So everything takes a little longer because I'm the one operating everything including the tow vehicle. So as usual, the launch was crowded. Everyone is trying to pull their boats out and go home. Well every spot was taken for the dock waiting to load. And when a space opened, it would not be large enough for my 29ft formula. So I waited until everyone that was there before me loaded, I always do, first come, first serve in my eyes, wait your turn, no problem. My turn comes, I pull up in the load spot and jump out to get my truck. There is another boat next to me loading, you could MAYBE fit three trucks but it's too close for comfort. And I've never seen people go 3 wide. Before I could back my trailer down a guy is loading his boat between mine sitting at the dock and the other guy trying to get his loaded still. Partially blocking me from getting to my boat and blocking the other boater from getting his tow vehicle out. Well I pulled forward aggressively because there was no way I was gonna fit, tires spun a bit. I parked the truck and I started walking down to the now blocked ramp. Now at this point he has been blocking both of us in for about 2-3 minutes. I start clapping and he says to me, in front of about 6 little kids mind you "you cant ****ing read a sign? Dont ****ing dock your boat in the launch Dumb****!" My dad says "he was getting his truck dude" he then responds "you're supposed to grab the truck before!" And pulls his boat out. Never seen this sign btw. What do you guys think? Was I in the wrong for not getting my tow vehicle before grabbing the launch spot when I patiently waited my turn and made sure everyone before me got loaded? Things like this make me want to rent a slip. Thanks for listening.

Im in the same boat as you. I have to back the trailer, load the boat and all. Yes it takes a bit more time.
If if someone were to tell me they had a problem I’d tell them to sit on their thumb.
Youre good to go go in my book.

OP has nothing to apologize for on this one. Mr. Impatient is just another example of how a growing segment thinks their time is more important than anyone else’s. I see it daily in traffic/merging situations in and around Detroit.

You guys that trailer every weekend, I commend you. I couldn't do it, and I love boating, but if I had to do that every weekend, I wouldn't have one. Hats off to the OP for just letting it go.

Boat ramps are the absolute worst . When I had my first boat my kids were very young so coming home in the afternoons was nothing but anxiety for me . I always made it a point to ask people if they needed a hand . All it was was a cluster F . Did it one year then got it into rack storage . Best money I ever spent

"You're supposed to grab the truck before!"
Ok, so ask him what one is supposed to do when you're solo - like I am many times. BTW, even solo, I can load my boat faster than 99% of the idiots out there.
You did nothing wrong and he was a jerk.
