Default How many GPM is a Gen 7 sea pump?

Im looking to see how many gallons per minute a gen 7 sea pump is to make sure its sufficient for the closed cooling system i installed this week.

That should work for my application then. The heat exchanger said it needs 35gpm. for some reason the engine is overheating. I rebuilt the sea pump, put in the ss wear plates and new impeller. Im just trying to narrow down what could be causing this

Try the power steering cooler. Pull and clean it out.

The p/s cooler on my 496 was a straight through design. The oil cooler would collect all the debris.

i put the hose directly into the sea strainer and my issue went away. Looks like the issue is the hose in the transom assembly. im going to install a thru transom water pickup tonight.
