Default Gen 6 502 over size pistons

I have a chance of getting my hands on a Gen 6 502 which had a riser gasket fail with low compression in two cylinders for cheap, looking around for pistons I see they only make 4.500 as the next size. The only play I find a .030 over is GM Performance which is a little pricey
Could anyone advice me if this is the only way to go and can the Gen 6 be bored out to 4.500 with no problems?

Thanks in advance

many things can cause low compression, it may not even need bored, have you pulled it apart ?

Your right and the bores could well be okay, but it's almost free well a trade with a gen 4 block I have and would want to rebuild it anyway ........it has quite a few hours on it.

JE makes a set .002 oversized. If everything else is good you can get away with a good honing with torque plates and be better than new. I’d still lean towards boring it out though as the expenses for parts are the same.
